Jason A. Menegatti

Mr. Menegatti joined SM Energy as the Senior VP – DJ Business Unit in January 2026. Mr. Menegatti has more than 21 years of experience in the energy industry. He previously served in roles of increasing responsibility at Civitas Resources, including Vice President of the Rockies Business Unit, where he oversaw production, DCF operations, land administration, and asset development, Vice President of Operations for the Rockies Business Unit, where he oversaw DJ Basin production and midstream operations, and Vice President of Asset Development and Well Permitting, where he provided strategic leadership across development planning and regulatory functions.

Prior to joining Civitas, Mr. Menegatti held several technical and operational positions at Extraction Oil & Gas, including Director of Engineering and Development, Engineering Manager, and Operations Planning Manager, where he advanced production performance and scheduling efficiency. Earlier in his career, he held engineering roles at B.J. Services, Weatherford, and Noble Energy.
